Prior to contracting with an

Prior to contracting with an outside service such as homecare, assisted living, nursing homes and even such services as an elder-law attorney or financial planner, seniors and their families should look for evidence of ethical business practices.

Human Life is Precious

The business proves that it serves each elderly client as an individual recognizing and addressing the unique needs and desires of each senior client.

The Principle of Cause and Effect

The business proves that the principle of cause and effect is understood and implemented through training, guidance, and supervision of each employee as he or she interacts with each individual senior client.

Simple good old-fashion manners implemented, as company policy not only improves the environment for employees, it greatly enhances one-on-one interaction with the elderly.

To give everyone invited a chance

September 5, 2010 - 10:20 am No Comments

To give everyone invited a chance to RSVP just as they would for the wedding and to clear their schedules if they are coming. Also the Bridal Shower isn?t as big an affair as the wedding and its meant to celebrate the bride?s coming wedding, so try not to have it so involved that you need to charge guests for arriving or a plate or something like that. Keep the meal easy and something that you can put together yourself without too much cost. A salad bar is great or a buffet of light snacks and coffee. This way guests will feel like they?ve gotten to eat and you don?t have to worry about hurting feelings with a meal fee.

There is always a gift opening period at every bridal shower.

These magnets will charge

September 5, 2010 - 5:23 am No Comments

These magnets will charge a capacitor and be hooked up to an LED lighting system using fiber optics or reflectors, each one hooked up to a .2 to .5 watt light. With hundreds of thousands of lights hooked up in a composite format it will light up the stadium and since the lights can shine down on the stadium and it would be like daylight without the light pollution associated with street lights in large cities.

Currently this technology is being used in those little flashlights you see advertised on television that you shake and they light, but you never need batteries. This idea of lighting up the stadium is using that technology on a larger scale with miniaturized parts making up the guts between the sandwich sheets. Let there be light, thru vibrational energy and there was and I just saved a bunch of money by switching to. . . Think on it.

With the government averse

September 5, 2010 - 5:10 am No Comments

With the government averse to regulation, Hong Kong has traditionally lacked the legislative and institutional measures that are used elsewhere to encourage competition. Partly because of this, there has been criticism that the domestic economy is monopolized by a few powerful local conglomerates. For instance, just two chains?Wellcome and Park ?n Shop?dominate the supermarket industry. These two firms are in turn owned by conglomerates, Jardine Matheson and Hutchison Whampoa respectively, which have a range of other interests in Hong Kong, owning, for example, major land developers. The government has taken some steps to increase corporate competition in recent years, although its efforts have so far been limited largely to those areas over which it exerts a direct influence. New products can and do gain market share very quickly.

However, the composition of trade within Hong Kong has changed over the past 10 years. Hong Kong used to be an important intermediary for China?s trade with the rest of the world. Now that China has increasingly direct access to world markets, less of this trade goes through Hong Kong (The Economist, 2004).

I couldn?t imagine

September 5, 2010 - 1:48 am No Comments

I couldn?t imagine life without them. Now, our own home is always beautifully decorated and scented with wonderful candles. While you can get many gorgeous looking unscented candles, I love to have scented candles burning. Smell is our most powerful sense in making us feel a certain way or taking us back in history to those special moments.

Our sense of smell has a memory so you can use smell in a very positive way to evoke wonderful feelings of happiness, calmness, that holiday, festive feeling etc. I am almost put into a trance every time I smell Jasmine as it takes me back to my nanna?s special, loved filled country garden where we shared so many irreplaceable moments.

And I bake a special Choc, Fruit, Sherry Slice that was my Mothers pride and joy special recipe at least once a week so that I feel like I am back home with her in her kitchen helping her cook.

‘Website shouldn’t have cost Pounds 1m’

0 Comments | Brentwood Gazette, Sep 1, 2010

A COMPUTER expert says Essex County Council need not have splashed out nearly Pounds 1 million on its new website.

Under the Freedom of Information Act, the Gazette obtained official documents detailing specifications of the new design. And Paul Edwards, of Datastore in Laindon, says the local authority could have got the job done for Pounds 250,000 at most.

The bid for the new website was won earlier this year by international business services giant Deloitte.

“The council is getting a truly Rolls Royce service from Deloitte for Pounds 830,000,” Mr Edwards said.

“However, they could also get a Rolls Royce service for about Pounds 250,000.”

Having looked at the specifications, he added: “The council want video – well that’s Flash technology – and believe it or not they can download that for free.”

Pages are also being designed and constructed by in-house council staff.

“I would have expected the council to task that to specialists as part of the contract included in the cost,” he told the Gazette.

“From what I understand, it seems the council lacks understanding of the basics, like exactly where to place photographs and captions for the best effect, and how to set up menus that don’t make people hunt about to find what they want.

“The council also does not appear to be making onerous demands on its supplier.

“What it wants is not out of the ordinary: the ability to issue blue badges online, death and marriage certificates, people to be able to book, pay, report highway problems online and allow users to take part in online opinion votes and so on.”

The council has defended its decision to award the job to Deloitte – the lowest of three tenders among other top corporate web creators. The highest was said to be approaching Pounds 2 million.

It is further understood that Deloitte often writes in a guaranteed 50 per cent refund if it does not fulfil all the terms of a contract with a local authority.

Nonetheless these experiences

September 4, 2010 - 7:11 pm No Comments

Nonetheless these experiences are encountered by a vast number of people and therefore worthy of study for that reason alone.

We may find that focusing serious research efforts on subjects currently within the realm of the paranormal will lead to a greater understanding of “real world” problems. We may also find that while some myths may be shattered along the way, many of the topics of paranormal research will be proven, validated and absorbed into the world of the commonplace.

The high poverty

September 4, 2010 - 6:19 pm No Comments

The high poverty is also the gateway that leads to other problems that even more so hinder people of color in our communities. Such as, living in and under poor conditions, being in crime and drug ridden situation with nowhere turn. This in it self in more so the reason why the race issue should be pushed in the college admissions situation.

In circumstances when one may reside in ghastly neighborhoods this would most likely give that person access to the states more underprivileged public schools in the area. And due to the fact school vouches are not available the children have little to know choice about what school they school they attend. Since of course the state does not what to provide assistance to the schools in trouble because they harbor criminals and report low test scores.

Is there are way

September 4, 2010 - 4:26 pm No Comments

Is there are way to melt micro-mechanical insect size swarming MAVs [micro air vehicles] if they cam at you in large swarms? What if they are sent by the enemy and each one is capable of putting a deadly toxin in your body or has a small detonation device or explosive like a fire-cracker plus directional charge? A little more than a bee stinger indeed; you will not be able to run or hide as there will be thousands of these little guys are working as a team to take out every human soldier in your brigade you see.

There may be a way to defeat such intense micro-mechanical swarms? How so you ask? How can you kill 1000?s of incoming little devices like that quick enough to save the troops? Well I believe it can be done, so let me propose the idea of a hand held or man portable laser weapon.

A chemical hand-held high energy laser weapon plugged into the power source and gas canisters on a Humvee with tanks of CO2 or Argon gas ought to do the trick. Simply fire at the swarm and slowly move the weapon in a semi brisk counter clockwise circle spiral from the outer edges of the swarm slowly towards the center and you will indeed melt all the little flying devices and significantly disrupt their swarm and as they get closer several men can assist in firing in a grid patter array using the light from the laser as a guide to get every potential trajectory.
